What are the requirements to obtain a SC
Real Estate License?
You must be at lest 18 years of age and be a High School
graduate or have a GED equivalent. Complete an approved 60
hour pre-license sales course. (Tuition $475) Upon
Completion send your application with a $35 money order or
cashiers check to the LLR - Real Estate Commission. You will
receive an approval to take the state exam within 7-10 days.
Upon successfully passing the state exam you will need to
select a Brokerage firm that will receive your Provisional
Salesman License which entitles you to begin your Real
Estate Career. Within one year you must complete an
additional 30 hours of Post Licensing (Tuition $299) to
obtain a permanent sales license. (No experience or
sponsorship from a Brokerage firm is necessary to take the
course)
Where do I
take the State Exam and what is the cost?
Once you have your approval to test you may schedule the
Real Estate by calling 1 800 733 9267. You must have your
credit card ready when you call. PSI will not schedule an
exam without collecting the fee of $63.00. The nearest
location is located in North Charleston at 4600 Goer Dr.
Room 112 A. Directions: take I-26 to Mall
Blvd. 4600 Goer is located behind the Sheraton hotel. Turn
as if going to the Sheraton and follow the road around to
the testing center. (Other locations to test include
Beaufort, Columbia; Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, NC)

Are there laws that would be helpful for
me to preview?:
Yes, a list will follow, but remember our
course material will take you through the laws you need to
know for the exam. It's also important to note that you will
not be required to know statute numbers.
