ATTENDANCE POLICY: The South Carolina Real Estate Laws and Regulations and Fortune Academy of Real Estate – Mt. Pleasant require that you attend ALL SESSIONS before you can take the School Exam (if applicable) and/or earn a certificate. Any sessions, or part of a session, missed must be made up within six months at a future class at the rate of $25.00 per session. If for any reason a class can not be held as scheduled, students will be notified, and a make-up class will be held as soon as practical. If for some reason a class is cancelled after it starts, students will be eligible to attend the next scheduled class at no charge.
REFUND, TRANSFER and CANCELLATION POLICY: Refund/cancellation requests will be accepted up to 48 hours before class starts. Persons who do not cancel will be charged full tuition. These requests must be made in writing and either postmarked or presented in person 48 hours in advance. Refunds will not be processed for persons who have attended any portion of the course. If the school cancels any classes, students will be offered the choice of attending an alternate class or receiving a full refund. Refunds will be made within two weeks of request. Substituting one class for a different one is permitted if arrangements have been made prior to the start of the classes.
CERTIFICATES: Upon successful completion of the course Fortune Academy of Real Estate – Mt. Pleasant will issue an original completion certificate to the student. Replacement certificates are $25.00.
NON-DISCRIMINATION: All courses are offered to all regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap or familial status. Students with special needs are required to give notice of accommodations needed 10 days prior to start of class.
GRADING: All exams are multiple choice, requiring a 75% passing grade. ONLY ONE retake of any exam is permitted at no additional charge to the student. If the student fails the second exam, the student must complete the entire class (at no cost to the student) not later than six months from the original class’s start date. If the student does not successfully complete the course within the six months, full charges for the course will apply.
RETURNED CHECKS: Students will be assessed a $35.00 charge for each check returned for INSUFFICIENT FUNDS or any other reason. No completion certificate shall be issued until payment of check amount plus service charge is received in cash, money order or certified check.
SCHOOL RECORDS: Fortune Academy of Real Estate – Mt. Pleasant will maintain all student information for a period of at least five years. Unless notified by student to remove their name pre-license class rosters will be sent to brokerage companies desiring to interview students for a position with their company.
