Course)
A Home Inspector is one who looks for visible
defects and prepares a written/oral report regarding the condition
of the construction or improvements to a residence. John Tullous, an
instructor from Home Pro, teaches the course. Home Pro operates 170
home inspection offices and has taught HI for over 30 years. John
has inspected over 10,000 homes and recently appeared on HGTV’s
“House detective.”
The class will be limited to 15
students.
The course prepares the student to take the test
administered by PSI. Upon passing the test, the student may then be
legally qualified to set up a business based on self-marketing and
self-motivation. Most leads are generated from Real Estate
Agents.
A certificate will be issued at the end of the course,
which enables the student to move on to the completion process.
When applying to the state the
fees are: Application fee is
$80, the test is $80, and the license is $80.
The
application is sent to the Residential Building Commission in
Columbia.
